Rosary Beads "Prayer"

The rosary is a set of prayer beads used by Roman Catholics to keep count when saying a certain group of prayers.

The beads comes from Catherine Doyle. Born in County Mayo Ireland and immigrated to America in 1951. A woman who loved her faith, often prayed and said three Rosaries a day. Catherine’s personal Rosary was used to honor her memory.

Dead Sea "Vitality"

Unique geological conditions then combined to form the Dead Sea, a sea that is more than eight times as salty as the oceans.

Frankincense "Faithful"

Frankincense is burned during religious rituals.

A resin, dried tree sap coming from trees of the Genus Boswellia. As the story goes, this was a gift presented to the Christ child by King, Balthazar. It was the purest incense. When burned, it produces a white smoke which symbolized the prayers and praises of the faithful ascending to Heaven.

Wine is used in celebration of the Eucharist.

This wine was used in the first celebrations at the Lord’s Supper. “The chalice of benediction, which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ?

Masada Stone "Strength"

Masada stone is from an ancient fortress in Israel, located high above the Dead Sea on a tall, rocky mesa.

Now an Israeli national park and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, ”The Fortress of Masada", is the oldest and strongest citadel in Israel where the last Israelite troops held out against the Roman armies.

This wood cross is from the Holy land in Bethlehem, and has been protected by the Holy Law as well as the Holy Bible since ancient times.

Holy Water "Purity"

Holy Water sanctified by a priest or bishop for the purpose of Baptism or the blessing of persons, places or things. It serves as a reminder rite of initiation into the church.

The Holy Water used in this print came from Knock, a well known religious village in County Mayo, Ireland. Its notability is derived from the Knock Shrine, an approved Catholic shrine and place of pilgrimage where the faithful believe that the Blessed Virgin Mary, Saint Joseph and Saint John the Evangelist appeared on 21 August 1879.
