We recognize the power in ones self, ones beliefs and the power in learning. A portion of every purchase will be donated to BioBus a company whose main mission is to help educate.

The BioBus mission is to help minority, female, and low-income K–12 and college students in New York City discover, explore, and pursue science. Through this work, we envision a world where all people have the opportunity to reach their full scientific potential. Since 2008, over 250,000 students at more than 500 schools have discovered the thrill of scientific discovery, with many embarking on a path of scientific exploration and sustained their pursuit.

"Helping to raise funds for BioBus is very exciting to me, as their mission is to continue to help inner city school students with their scientific educational needs. It is a full circle journey. We captured our magnificent images aboard BioBus, and they are now reinterpreted for jewelry, apparel, art and more, while raising funds to funnel right back into BioBus.

Ben Dubin-Thaler

Ph.D. Founder and Executive Director

Ben Dubin-Thaler created the BioBus in 2008 after completing his Ph.D. in Biology as well as his B.A. in Physics and Mathematics at Columbia University. Dr. Ben, as he is known to students aboard the BioBus, started BioBus as an experiment to test his hypothesis that, given the opportunity to use research microscopes to perform hands-on experiments, anyone would be excited about science and want to do more. Ben and his team created a new kind of laboratory space that is empowering, accessible and un-intimidating, and that facilitates scientific engagement amongst populations historically underrepresented in science professions. Ben, now a recognized nonprofit and science education leader who is regularly invited to speak and consult for other organizations, hopes to create a future in which people from all cultures and backgrounds have equal opportunities to practice and understand science. Ben is a former Mobile Lab Coalition board member.
